Founded in 1991, Explore Yachts began as the first yacht charter company in South America, operating from the stunning Venezuelan Caribbean. What started as a passion for sailing and the sea grew into a mission to share the beauty of island life with travelers from around the world.
In 2001, we launched explore-yachts.com, bringing our decades of maritime expertise online. Originally focused on the Venezuelan Caribbean — Los Roques, La Blanquilla, La Tortuga, and hundreds of pristine islands — our website became a trusted resource for sailors and adventurers alike.

That philosophy has guided everything we do. From our earliest charters along the Venezuelan coast, we believed that sailing offers a perspective no resort or cruise ship can match. As we said from the beginning: “In Venezuela you will never be a Tourist” — you become part of the sea, the islands, and the culture.
In 2026, we expanded our editorial coverage to the Mediterranean, adding expert guides for Turkey, Greece, and Croatia. We launched our Charter Company Directory, connecting travelers with verified operators across both the Caribbean and Mediterranean.
