Bahia de Los Piratas Carenreo Higuerote Venezuela Development area (Out of the hurricane Belt)

If you do a charter for a longer period cruising around all of the beautiful Islands of Venezuela, you can choose to leave from the excellent club in Carenero, Higerote, (Barlovento) about 1 hour drive from Caracas, with its luxurious Marina.

It is here Explore Yachts has its base for charters to other destinations other than Los Roques. The club (Bahia de Los Piratas) is one of the best clubs in Venezuela and has all the facilities a club can have: Tennis court, 3 swimming pools, pool, 3 restaurants, beach front, play ground for the kids, and 2 hotels and great fishing just around the corner. If you would like to stay for a day or two before you start sailing it is included in the charter.

Bahia Los Piratas is situated in Higuerote, 2 hours by car  using the new highway from the international airport in Maiquetia.

In the High season most charter boats will be permanent in Los Roques only trips to Tortuga island, Puerto la Cruz  and the area of Margarita Island is possible.
